Beginner Volleyball I
This camp is designed for beginners and players with limited experience who want to learn the game of volleyball. Open to girls and boys in 5th grade and up, campers will be introduced to the fundamental skills of the sport. Instruction will focus on serving, hitting, passing, and setting, with guidance to help each player build confidence and improve their technique. This camp is a great opportunity for anyone interested in learning the basics of volleyball and preparing to join a team.

Intermediate/Advanced Volleyball II
This camp is for players that have at least 1 year of school / travel volleyball experience. The camp will include instruction/drills each day. We will be utilizing the sand volleyball courts to introduce beach volleyball to some and focus on refining skills to others. The benefit of beach volleyball is that it helps players develop every aspect of their game, as well as great conditioning. Team play will consist of mini games that allow athletes to play with a mix of partners of varied experience and skill sets to improve their own game and leadership/teammate skills.

SEL Stories and Crafts
Social and emotional learning is an important foundation of student success. Come and learn more about how to manage, express, and control your emotions with yourself and others! During this week we will be reading and learning about how everyone has emotions, and how we can handle them in an appropriate way. We will have a new book, craft, and sensory activity each day!

Strum in the Sun Ukulele Camp
No ukulele? No problem! We provide instruments for all campers. This camp is perfect for beginners and young musicians who want to learn the ukulele. Each day will be packed with exciting activities, including learning basic chords and strumming patterns. Creating one-of-a-kind camp songs and mini performances will also be part of the week. Every child will leave with new skills, new friends, and a love for making music! Come strum, laugh, and have fun with us!

Welcome to Around the World Desserts, where young chefs will take a culinary journey across the globe! Each day, campers will focus on a different country, exploring delicious food. Girls Night Out
Get ready for a night full of sparkle, laughter, and fun! Grab your PJs and sleeping bag and join us for the ultimate sleepover party in the Lower School Media Center.
From manicures and relaxing facemasks to creative crafts and friendship bracelet making, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. We’ll play games, have a dance party with your favorite songs, and wind down with a cozy movie night complete with popcorn. Dinner and dessert are all part of the experience, and the fun doesn’t stop there!
This magical overnight is perfect for rising 2nd–6th graders. Come ready to make amazing memories with friends! Spaces are limited.

Outdoor Adventures
If you love the outdoors and are ready for adventure, this is the camp for you! We will hike and explore nature at various parks around Farmville such as Wilck's Lake Park and High Bridge Trail State Park where campers will explore everything from hiking trails and stream education to birdwatching and reptile spotting. Along the way, campers will learn how to be nature helpers by practicing Leave No Trace principles, respecting wildlife, and discovering simple ways to care for the environment wherever they explore. Get ready to discover and explore!
Bring a water bottle, sunblock and be ready to take a bus to the parks. Spaces are limited.

Messy Art
Get ready to paint, splash, and create! This hands-on art camp is all about making bold, colorful, and sometimes messy masterpieces. Each day, campers will explore exciting art projects like tie-dyeing, rock painting, sidewalk chalk art, and more. Kids will experiment with colors, textures, and materials while letting their creativity shine. This camp is perfect for young artists who love to get their hands dirty and try new things—so be sure to wear clothes that can get painted!

Swing into Summer Golf
Looking for the perfect summer activity for middle and high school golfers? Our Summer Junior Golf Camp offers a fun, focused week of skill-building using the Manor’s driving range, putting green, and short-game areas. Campers will develop strong fundamentals in full swing, chipping, pitching, and putting while also learning golf etiquette, rules of play, course strategy, and sportsmanship. Daily competitions, team challenges, and personalized coaching make this an engaging experience for beginners and experienced players alike. Whether your child is new to the game or looking to sharpen their skills for school golf, this camp builds confidence, character, and a lifelong love of the game. We’ve Got Spirit Cheer
Do you have spirit? Let’s hear it! Catch the spirit of cheerleading as you join the Fuqua School cheerleaders and coaches for a week of fun. Campers will not only learn cheers and dances, but will also work on the fundamentals of cheerleading, including basic motions and jumps. Campers will showcase what they learn when they perform a mini routine for parents and guests at week’s end.

Scrapbooking 101
Have you been on a trip that you want to remember for years to come? Maybe you want to collect your memories from last school year? This is the camp where you can create a scrapbook documenting these important moments. Campers will learn how to display memories in a way that is visually pleasing and fun to create! Please bring your pictures, any mementos for your creation, and a scrapbook that you’d like to use.

Superhero Art
DC or Marvel fans, who’s your favorite superhero?
Welcome to an art camp where imagination saves the day! Campers will make awesome superhero gear, like custom shields, capes, masks, and other fun accessories.
During the week we will also design and create a superhero, complete with a unique name, backstory, and special powers. We’ll use drawing, painting, collage, and mixed media to bring our ideas to life.
Along the way, campers will build confidence, share their ideas, and discover their own artistic superpowers. Feel free to wear your favorite superhero shirt, costume, or accessories as we dive into this colorful, action-packed adventure!

Lego Lab
Campers will build, create, and imagine using LEGO bricks as they follow real engineer- and architect-inspired plans. Through hands-on LEGO projects, kids will explore STEAM concepts while playing, problem-solving, and having fun. Along the way, campers will strengthen fine motor skills, boost confidence, practice teamwork, and learn important skills like following directions and staying organized. There’s also time for open-ended free play, where imagination takes the lead, and creativity knows no limits!

Hoops - Basketball
Hoops Basketball Camp is designed to teach all aspects of the game. Your athlete will work on the fundamentals of shooting, ball handling, and passing. Campers will have fun learning the technical, physical, and strategic skills of basketball while learning to be a good teammate. Players will work on drills and teamwork. Whether new to the sport or experienced, campers will leave as better players.

Strategy Games
Ready to level up your kid’s brainpower? Whether campers are learning for the first time or aiming to sharpen skills, we’ve got them covered. With games like Risk, Stratego, Betrayal at House on the Hill, checkers, and other assorted strategy and deck-building games, campers will practice critical thinking, planning ahead, teamwork, and problem-solving. Let the games begin!

Through the Lens
In Through the Lens Photography Camp, we will cover the different functions of your camera, and how they affect an image. We will also learn about the exposure triangle, white balance, and developing a creative eye. Most importantly, we will CREATE! Each day we will discuss an aspect of photography, then apply it in the field, finalizing in a day of creation, putting everything together. Bring a camera (phones too), an open mind, and let’s see what develops!!!

Christmas in July Baking Camp
Get ready to mix, bake, and celebrate the Christmas, summer style! Our Christmas in July Baking Camp is a hands-on experience designed for students in grades 3–7 and organized into age-specific groups to support skill growth at every level.
Campers will learn essential baking skills such as measuring, mixing, decorating, and kitchen safety while creating festive, holiday-themed treats. Instructors provide guidance and helpful tips so campers can continue practicing their new skills at home.
By the end of the week, every camper will leave with stronger baking skills, new recipes, holiday spirit, and plenty of sweet memories—no snow required!

Community Service Sampler
J.B. Fuqua once said, "I am my brother’s keeper, and I don’t think I’m doing my share in life unless I’m doing my share for my brother." Part of being a good citizen and a Fuqua Falcon is contributing to the community. During this week of service, we will spend time with local organizations that directly impact our community. Each day we will travel to complete various projects at places such as the Woodland, fire department, FACES, local churches, or Better Days Farmville. The hours worked can be applied to Fuqua School’s required community service credit.

Hogwarts Summer Academy
Do you love Harry Potter? If you do, come step through Platform 9 ¾ and enter a magical world! Mrs. Volin invites wizards to pack their trunks for this incredible journey. Throughout the week, campers will dive into the world of Harry Potter, comparing favorite scenes from the books to the films, debating which version did it better, and exploring the characters, creatures, spells, and magical moments we all love. It’s recommended that campers have read Harry Potter, but it’s not required — all magic levels are welcome!
